DJ Desher (UK)

Manchester born and raised, DJ Desher is an up-and-comer in the Liquid Drum and Bass DJ scene, although his love for the sound goes back as far as he can remember. He was first introduced to Logical Progression and Points in Time by his father as a toddler, quickly favouring tunes by LTJ Bukem, PFM and Blame. He also happens to be named after a PFM classic, Dannys Song. Later down the line, Desher discovered Liquid at 13. First hearing “Winters touch” by Monrroe he instantly became captivated by the sound.

Desher discovered DJ’ing through his uncle, an Italo house fanatic, that specialised in vinyl and occasionally spun the likes of Mickey Finn, Aphrodite and Hype. However, It wasn’t until 16 he would first try it out for himself. Being self taught, Desher created his own style of mixing. Becoming engrossed in the many different transition methods. Although, He believes in letting the tunes do the work and creating moments between tracks exclusive to Deshers sets.

Desher’s style prioritises atmospheric tunes that maintain a head nodding beat and bass-line, ranging from 90s/ modern atmospheric, ambient jungle but mostly liquid. while occasionally branching out into other sub genres that maintain the same characteristics. He loves anything thats deep, soulful and melodic. Desher also loves to take listeners on a journey within his sets, carefully varying intensity and depth from start to finish. Whenever Desher isn’t behind the decks, he spends most of his time crate digging or producing, with tunes of his own soon to be released.
