Its been a long time coming but in just under three years in the making the long awaited ‘A Lifetime Of Sound‘ album from Marcus Tee featuring collabs with Abstract Illusion, A.R.K.E.D, Section, Skinley & Soundcycles is finally here and due for release soon on Complex Records!
This release has been well worth the wait and is not just any drum and bass album, it is a reflection of all Marcus Tee‘s musical inspirations and loves from his life showcasing his musical journey from growing up in the 70s listening to his parents excellent taste in music (Rock & Reggae), discovering electro in the early 80s via Afrika Bambaata’s ‘Planet Rock’, then House and into the 90s rave & jungle scene and then of course though to his love for Drum & Bass that we are aware of from his countless previous releases on a host of well known labels such as Liquid V / Influenza Media / Soul Deep / Four Corners / Default Recordings / Liquid Boppers & Liquid Flavours to name a few.
Marcus goes on to tell us “Obviously this could have ended up a very messy & unstructured LP and not what I wanted, which was an almost concept like journey through sound and I think I have achieved it – I hope you enjoy this album as much as i did creating it.”
This release is indeed a beautiful “journey through sound” and spans various styles and genres through chilled out Hip Hop, House, Oldschool Jungle, atmospheric beats and of course the Liquid Drum and Bass flavours we know and love. This is a solid release well deserving of a place in any DJ’s collection and already has some great support from some well known names in the scene such as Stunna, Random Movement, Donovan ‘Bad Boy’ Smith, DJ Kella, Dug-E and many more…
This release is due out on Marcus Tee’s own imprint Complex Records and will be available from all major digital stores from 30/09/2019
