Mark Frequency (UK)

It all began in about 1988, Thirteen years old, and being drawn towards the sounds of Acid House, Tuning into Radio Stations like… Centreforce, Sunrise and Fantasy.

It was probably another couple of years before Mark’s first proper raving experience’s. Dungeons and Telepathy were the first Taste. By this point it was already obvious that Mark was excited by the more breaks and bass types of tunes that were around at this time. Next followed a few hazy years of raving all over the place. Following the likes of Randall, Grooverider and Fabio ect.

Mark had been learning to dj most of the way through this period, but it was going to Seminal clubs… Speed at the Mars Bar and Metalheadz at the Blue Note,that made Mark realise that he really wanted to get into the production side of things.

After a couple of years locked in the studio, Mark started a little group called Frequency Fix. They were quite quickly picked up by Emcee Recordings. Frequency Fix had a couple of releases, and played a couple of Fabric Gigs. Warming up for Fabio was an amazing experience. Sadly a major illness around this time brought everything to a halt.

He ended up taking much time out and moving to Norwich. Once In Norwich and fully recovered, Mark Frequency could feel the need for Drum and Bass again. He met Kerry from Bounce Records, and became a resident Dj during the many Nights that Bounce promoted at various Norwich Venues.

A few Years later, and Mark is itching to be playing to an Audience once again, although not hugely experienced in playing radio, He is looking forward to representing his corner of Drum & Bass on Different Drumz.

Also, Listen out for Mark Frequency’s Productions, after a few years of getting used to the software way of working, He is just about ready to let a few projects go. So Keep your ears peeled!!!
