Resident @ Liquid Sessions / Different Drumz / Circles.
Birmingham based PMX first got in to the scene around 1992 when he started to listen to tapes such as Fantazia / Pandermoniun / Quest etc.
Shortly after he was passed a tape of Ltj Bukem & Mc Conrad from Dreamscape and was instantly hooked on the new unique sound the Ltj Bukem was playing.
From there PMX was madly in to the sounds of the likes of Big Bud / Pfm / Rantoul / Blame to name a few. Who at that time was they were all playing there deep / Atmospheric sounds.
PMX started to DJ around 1999/2000 where at that time he was always playing something different than most of his friends were as a lot of them hadn’t really herd of many of the artists he was playing.
Shortly after around 2004 PMX had taken a break from the scene due to starting a family etc but was always still on top of the music and was never to far away from it.
Fast forward to 2008 PMX was itching to get back on to things. Where he started his brand new radio show called Liquid Sessions where PMX used to play every MondaY. As the radio show was going so well and was pulling in the listeners PMX thought it was the right time to start the nights up. Now Liquid Sessions (Nights) have been going from strength to strength and has always aimed to push the Deep / Rolling / Jazzy / Soulful style of music. The nights always loves to push up and coming DJ’s / Producers and help them get out there and do what there great at doing.
With Liquid Sessions residents on rotation such as:
Mr Joseph (V Recordings / Fizzy Beats), Jordan V (V Recordings), Madcap (Fokus / Good Looking Records), dRamatic & dbAudio (V Recordings / Good Looking Records), Soulculture (Phuzion Recordings)
As the nights were getting bigger and bigger Liquid Sessions are now doing nights in Leeds / London / Birmingham to name a few and have many offers on the table to host room two’s for other promoters.
So at this time PMX wanted to get a great team involved to help push Liquid Sessions even more. From there he decided to get Soulculture and Merri Maker involved and hasn’t looked back since.
PMX has played along side some of the biggest DJ’s in the game such as Ltj Bukem / Tayla / Bryan g / Zero T / Utah Jazz / Fabio / Big Bud and many many more.
Whats new for Liquid Sessions & Pmx in 2011/2012?
Once again with the nights getting bigger and a great team on board you can expect many more great nights and guest radio shows on other stations such as Kool London and many more.
The Liquid Sessions team have now joined forces with Different Drumz and you can catch Liquid Sessions residents on rotation with a new weekly show here at Different Drumz.
You can also expect to see some joint events with both the Liquid Sessions and Different Drumz family in the future!
